There are now more opportunities than ever before for dental and health professionals, schools, pharmacies, community groups, colleges and workplaces in fact anyone with an interest in good oral health to join National Smile Month 2018 and help educate, motivate and communicate the importance of good oral health. There are three key messages of National Smile Month 2018, with the first one being that it is essential to brush your teeth at night and at least once during the day using fluoride toothpaste. It is also recommended to visit your dentist regularly and cut the consumption of sugary drinks and foods to an absolute minimum. We sometimes forget about going to see our dentist for a regular check-up, it seems as a nation we feel we don’t need to visit the dentist or generally don’t want to. A check-up allows your dentist to see if you have any dental problems and helps you keep your mouth healthy. Leaving problems untreated usually leads to pain, tooth loss and could make them more difficult to treat in the future, so it's best to deal with problems early, or, if possible, prevent them altogether. Medical Specialists provide dental treatments online but only as a one off treatment to help anyone suffering with dental infections. If possible, we would always first advise to see your own dentist or an emergency dentist if you ever suffer with dental pain. Remember: Keep Smiling!
