What is Zyban for?

Please note: Those under the age of 65 trying to stop smoking will take Zyban once daily during the first 6 days of treatment, and twice daily thereafter. People aged 65 or over should take only 1 tablet daily for the entire duration of the course.

To be used whilst attending a support group or counselling, Zyban is a prescription medicine that can effectively help people quit smoking. Unlike some other smoking cessation treatments, it does not contain any nicotine.

How does Zyban work?

As previously metioned, when you buy Zyban online, it is to be taken in conjunction with a stop-smoking programme such as a support group or counselling, to help you give up smoking.

The active ingredient Bupropion can help to alleviate nicotine withdrawal symptoms (e.g. restlessness, headaches, irritability, trouble concentrating, etc.) and decrease your desire to smoke. This in turn decreases your risk of serious health problems such as many types of cancer and heart and lung disease.

After you buy stop smoking pills Zyban, they come in a prolonged release form. This means that the tablets distribute their contents slowly after they’ve been swallowed, allowing them to give you relief from cravings throughout the day.

How to take Zyban

When you buy stop smoking tablets Zyban online, always read the Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) for clear instructions on how to take the medicine, as follows:

• Start taking Zyban while you are still smoking.
• Set a Target Stop Smoking Day, ideally during the second week you’re taking it.

Week 1

Ideally keep smoking while taking Zyban.

Days 1 to 6:                          Take 1 tablet (150mg), once a day

Day 7:                                   Increase your dose to 1 tablet, twice a day, at least 8 hours apart, and not near to bedtime.

Week 2

Carry on taking 1 tablet, twice a day. Stop smoking this week, on your Target Stop Smoking Day.

Weeks 3 to 9

Carry on taking 1 tablet, twice a day for up to 9 weeks.

If you have not been able to stop smoking after 7 weeks, your doctor will advise you to stop taking Zyban. You may be advised to stop taking Zyban gradually, after 7 to 9 weeks.

What are the possible side effects of Zyban?

Side effects are rare, and most people don’t get any. Possible side effects may vary from one person to the next, as with any medication. You should always read the manufacturer’s Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) before taking this or any other medication.
