Seretide
Prices from as little as £27.25 an inhaler
(Including Private Prescription)
Seretide (Salmeterol/Fluticasone Propionate) Accuhaler and Evohaler are ‘combination’ purple inhalers that work by relaxing the muscles which line the trachea and bronchi. Your own doctor may prescribe Seretide when your asthma symptoms are not well controlled with your usual medicines. Evohalers work like regular inhalers, whereas Seretide Accuhalers are suited to those who find it difficult to press and breathe in at the same time. You may be suitable to buy Seretide online from Medical Specialists® if you have already been prescribed Seretide from your own doctor.

- Manages and controls asthma symptoms
- Contains Salmeterol and Fluticasone
- Keeps your airways open
- Genuine UK medication
What is Seretide for?
Seretide is prescribed to patients whose condition has not been controlled well enough by just the use of a regular steroid inhaler, and is often prescribed with a short-acting blue reliever inhaler such as Ventolin Inhaler.
It may also be prescribed for those with well-controlled asthma instead of using a regular steroid inhaler with a separate regular long-acting reliever (bronchodilator), as Seretide combines both types of medicine into one inhaler.
How does Seretide work?
As Seretide starts off working slow, it is imperative to use daily – even if you feel OK and your breathing is normal. You may be suitable to buy Seretide Evohaler or Accuhaler online to be used each day alongside a separate fast-acting ‘reliever’ inhaler when necessary. This is something your doctor will discuss with you.
Seretide inhalers contain two active ingredients: Fluticasone and Salmeterol. As an anti-inflammatory steroid medicine, Fluticasone reduces inflammation and the secretion of mucus in the lungs, whereas salmeterol is a long-acting bronchodilator, and works to relax muscles within the lungs. Both medicines work in different ways but will make it easier for you to breathe.
Seretide products are known as 'Evohalers' and 'Accuhalers' as opposed to ‘inhalers’. This is to signify the fact they do not contain any CFC propellants and that they are inhaled in different ways.
You'll find the 'Evohaler' performs just like regular inhaler, whereas the 'Accuhaler' is a circular-shaped inhaler that contains dry powder. Some people may find this one easier to use, as you don't have to synchronise your pressing and breathing in.
Before you buy Seretide inhalers online, always check it is the same one that you have been prescribed previously from your own doctor and do not change Seretides unless you have spoken to your doctor first and been told to do so.
How to use Seretide
When you buy Seretide online, always use Seretide exactly as your doctor, asthma nurse or pharmacist has told you, or as outlined in the Patient Information Leaflet (PIL). Check with them if you are unsure how and when to use Seretide.
