How can you use EPS?

You need to choose a place for your doctor to send your prescription electronically. This is called nomination. You can nominate Medical Specialists Pharmacy to dispense your medicine, by registering on our website.

How do you know if your doctor offers this service?

The service is being rolled out to doctors by Primary Care Trusts (PCTs). To find out if your PCT is already doing this please visit the NHS Choices website.

If you have any problems with your EPS nomination or in completing your prescription order, please do contact us at [email protected] or call us on 0161 762 9108 between 9am and 5pm Monday – Friday.

How do you find out further information on health issues?

The NHS have created an interactive, informative website called NHS Choices, some of their popular pages are listed below for you to visit when looking for further health related matters:-

  • This section allows you to choose parts of the human anatomy or select various categories regarding medicines, symptoms, quck answers and information regarding clinical trials.

  • The Live Well section gives helpful and informative information regarding eating healthier, understanding diet and improving your whole well being.

  • Created to allow you to find a whole host of NHS services close to your location, with additional information such as GPs, Dentists, NHS Information Departments regarding diabetes, hip replacements. Also, this will show GP surgeries that offer EPS2 (Electronic Prescription Service) so that you can have your prescription electronically sent to pharmacies, like ours, so that we can dispense your prescription medication and have it delivered to an address of your choice.
