New swine flu death is confirmed
A 24-year-old woman has become the 10th person to die in the north west of England after contracting swine flu.
Louise Jones, 24, developed a migraine, sore throat and flu-like symptoms on holiday in Crete.
Her condition worsened after returning home to Leigh, Greater Manchester, and she died in Salford Royal Hospital.
Ten people in the region had died either directly from contracting the swine flu virus, or as a result of secondary complications, since April.
