MHRA issues alert to medical companies about its staff impersonation

MHRA (The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) has issued an alert to the medical companies about people making calls to companies purporting to be MHRA staff. MHRA has urged companies to remind their staff to be vigilant. According to the press releaseissued by MHRA, these callers often quote non-geographic numbers, such as those starting with 0871, which are not utilized by MHRA. MHRA has advised companies to report any suspected impersonation attempts to their Central Enquiry Point on 020 7084 2000 to make sure the caller is genuine before giving them any information.
