However, studies[1,2] have shown it can have major benefits for eyelash growth, and can thicken eyebrows too. If you need to buy Lumigan eyelash serum, complete an online consultation for Lumigan 0.3 mg/mL for this unlicensed (off-label) product.
- Helps improve eyelash/brow growth
- Contains Bimatoprost
- Same active ingredient that is in Latisse
- Genuine UK medication
What is Lumigan for?
Please note: Although this medication is approved by The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in America under the name Latisse, it is unlicensed in the UK for any other treatment apart from glaucoma. You must understand and agree to this before you buy Lumigan online.
Please note: Latisse is the first US FDA-approved product to grow lashes longer, fuller and darker for those who are suffering from sparse/diffused lashes. It has been studied for safety and efficacy and its active ingredient Bimatoprost, is contained in Lumigan in a strength of 0.3 mg/mL. Though you cannot buy Latisse online from us, you may complete an online consultation to buy Lumigan UK from Medical Specialists®.
Suffering from thin eyelashes and eyebrows can really damage a person’s confidence and how they view themselves. Sometimes these may be caused by medical conditions, or from poor beauty habits.
However, you can buy Lumigan for eyelashes and brows and begin to get your confidence back with thick, luscious hair growth.
How does Lumigan work?
When you buy Lumigan eye drops online, after a few months’ use you should really start to notice the benefits. Despite the exact mechanism of action being unknown, it is thought that Lumigan affects the growth (anagen) phase of the eyelash/brow hair cycle in 2 different ways.
Firstly, Lumigan increases the length of this phase, and secondly, it increases the number of hairs in this growth phase.
How long does Lumigan take to work?
Most people using Lumigan will want to see effects very quickly we are sure. For most, it can take 10 to 30 days of using Lumigan to notice more growth in the eyelashes, and up to 16 weeks to see the full benefits. The majority of people will continue to use Lumigan after seeing the full effect, as topical application of the medication can only increase eyelash or eyebrow growth whilst using it.
How to use Lumigan
When you buy Bimatoprost online, the manufacturer’s Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) will have specific instructions for using Lumigan for glaucoma.
However, we supply this medication only as an unlicensed (off-label) treatment for thinning eyelashes or brows. Therefore, we will supply a leaflet with specific instructions on how to use Lumigan for such off-label purposes.
Lumigan is normally applied once daily to the base of the upper eyelashes during the initial 16 weeks of treatment. Please do not apply the medication to the lower part of your eyelashes. Following the first 16 weeks, some people may choose to reduce their usage of Lumigan (Bimatoprost 0.03%) to just 2 times each week, whilst other people may require 3 times each week to maintain results.
What are the possible side effects of Lumigan?
IF YOU HAVE ASTHMA: Lumigan is known as a ‘beta-blocker’ and as such, if you have any issues with your breathing and/or asthma medication, you are to stop using Lumigan and speak to your doctor.
Side effects are rare, and most people don’t get any. Possible side effects may vary from one person to the next, as with any medication. You should always read the manufacturer’s Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) before using this or any other medication. This will give you important information, as well as any possible side effects of the drug.
As mentioned previously, this medication is supplied off-label (unlicensed), so together with the medication, we will provide a Medical Specialists® leaflet with guidance for its off-label use.

Is Lumigan the same as Latisse?
They are essentially the same, yes. Bimatoprost 0.03% ophthalmic solution was originally prescribed under the brand name 'Lumigan' as a treatment for glaucoma, a problem that causes too much pressure in the eyeball. An usual side effect of this was people noticed substantial eyelash growth. Therefore, in 2008, the American FDA grave the green light for Bimatoprost 0.03% (under the name of 'Latisse') to be prescribed to help lengthen, thicken and darken eyelashes. The active ingredient of the highly popular Latisse is the same as Lumigan. Although Lumigan is only licensed in the UK for the treatment of glaucoma (we don't prescribe Lumigan for glaucoma), you can buy Lumigan online from our UK pharmacy for eyelash/eyebrow growth. Both Lumigan and Latisse are manufactured by the same company, Allergan.
Which is better Lumigan or Revitalash?
Both products can give excellent results and help to regrow eyelashes and eyebrows. However, Lumigan (containing the same active ingredient as Latisse) contains Bimatoprost, an active ingredient that is FDA-approved drug prescribed for many years in America to help promote longer, thicker and darker eyelashes. On the other hand, Revitalash is an over-the-counter cosmeceutical that could be considered less 'potent' than Lumigan.
How much does Lumigan cost in the UK?
From Medical Specialists® you can order Lumigan online for £49.95 (30 x 0.4ml containers) or £89.95 (60 x 0.4ml containers). This works out at a mere £1.50 for each container.
