Our pharmacists dispense your treatment conveniently to your home or work so you never have to miss a delivery.
All medication supplied is genuine and UK-manufactured. We meticulously and thoroughly check all stock as it arrives at the pharmacy, making sure the seal on each pack has not been tampered with, as well as giving each pack a gentle shake to confirm the medication is inside as it should be.
During the dispensing process in our pharmacy, all medication is scanned using our Falsified Medicines Directive system to guarantee authenticity of the pack. At the dispensing stage, we also perform a second check of the medication pack/box, gently shaking it, ensuring the contents are inside.
Unless you have completed an online consultation specifically in relation to branded medication, certain medicines may be ‘generic’ and you could receive one from a number of different UK manufacturers. This is dependent on stock at the time of dispensing.
Generic medications are designed to have the same pharmacological effects as their branded counterparts. However, you may have previously found that a certain brand works very well for you. Whatever your requirements are, you can be sure to find the treatment you need at Medical Specialists®.
The price displayed for the medication, is the price you will pay (plus a delivery charge). This includes your consultation and prescription. We will not give you any nasty and unwanted surprises as you are about to pay at the checkout stage.
Complete an online consultation with one of our registered prescribers. Medical questions asked are similar to those you would be asked in a face-to-face appointment with your own doctor. Therefore, as you would with your own doctor, please give genuine, honest, clear, and detailed responses to the questions in the online consultation, or their could be a delay with your consultation in case we need to contact you for further information.
All answers and the information you input into your online consultation will need to be relevant to your condition, including it made clear if have have any other health conditions (besides that intended to be treated) and please list all medicines you are taking (prescription and non-prescription).
Our independent prescribers are fully registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and their credentials can be checked here.
The consultation is assessed in a timely manner and you will be notified as soon as it has been approved.
Any refusals will be clearly explained and you will be appropriately signposted elsewhere.
We will only take payment for approved consultations. All orders placed firstly require a payment known as a ‘ghost’ transaction, which has not technically been taken out of your account at this stage. We can either take the payment (after approval) or abort the payment (after refusal), which will then be re-credited to your account from Sage Pay within around 3 working days.
All medication is dispatched from our fully registered GPhC-registered Pharmacy via Royal Mail. Within this, you have the choice of a number of options suited to your needs. For example, there is the cost-effective Tracked 24 and 48 hr (UK) service, or Special Delivery 1pm (UK) Signed For service (with, or without photo identification). You can even utilise the useful Royal Mail Local Collect service, whereby you can simply collect your parcel from a local post office instead of having it delivered to your home or work, etc.
To ensure complete discretion and privacy, our parcels do not mention Medical Specialists® or display our logo or branding of any sort. In fact, it is impossible for anybody to know what is inside the parcel. The following image is identical to what you will receive:
Medication is carefully placed within a white-coloured protective box which goes into the parcel to ensure the medication arrives to you undamaged during transit
If you have selected the Special Delivery 1pm (UK) (with ID Verification service) whilst placing your order, this means that only you (the named person on the order and therefore whom the medication is intended for) can sign for your parcel, however you MUST also show photo identification.
