What is Fucidin H Cream for?

Please note: You should only request to buy Fucidin H without prescription if you also have a skin infection with your symptoms. Alternatively, we have topical medicines that just contain a steroid (e.g. Eumovate) to treat inflammation only. Please speak to your doctor if you are uncertain.

Please note: Fucidin H treats infections caused by bacteria. You should not buy Fucidin H online from our UK online pharmacy for the treatment of infections caused by a fungus or virus.

Fucidin H Cream is specifically formulated for the treatment of skin problems where the skin has become broken and infected.

If you have broken skin you are far more at risk from a bacterial infection, often obvious through the appearance of oozing, pus, crust, and looking golden in colour. However, you can order Fucidin H online to clear your infection, and treat the inflammation and swelling too. Once the infection and inflammation has been effectively treated with Fucidin H, your skin can begin to heal.

Depending on your needs and the severity of your symptoms, you can buy Fucidin H Cream from us in either 30g or 60g sized tubes.

How does Fucidin H Cream work?

Fucidin H Cream is an effective combination medicine, containing the corticosteroid Hydrocortisone and the antibiotic Fusidic Acid.

Those with certain skin conditions often have an overactive immune system when the skin has come into contact with a trigger (allergen). This could be anything from pollen to stress or even certain food.

Upon encountering the trigger, your skin often becomes inflamed, red, itchy, etc., and an infection can cause these problems to become far worse, especially if germs have gotten into the damaged and cracked skin.

Hydrocortisone helps to prevent skin from becoming inflamed by decreasing the dilation of blood vessels. This limits the release of chemicals that cause the distressing and uncomfortable symptoms, allowing the skin to begin to recover.

The second active ingredient of Fucidin H Cream, Fusidic Acid, is a mild antibiotic that helps to kill off the bacteria that have got into the skin.

By fighting problems on two fronts, Fucidin H can reduce your discomfort, clear your infection, and quickly allow your skin to heal.

How to use Fucidin H Cream

When you buy Fucidin H Cream online from our UK pharmacy, use the treatment as per your doctor’s instructions, and as described within the Patient Information Leaflet (PIL). Always check with your doctor if you are unsure.

Differing areas of affected skin require varying amounts of the cream, so it is important to check with the manufacturer’s PIL prior to application, and your own doctor can further advise on how to use the cream.

According to the PIL, the usual treatment time is up to 2 weeks. Ask your doctor before using the medicine for longer than this.

Apply the cream twice each day – once in the morning and once in the evening. You should notice your skin improve after just a few days of using the cream.

Please note: The PIL states that if no improvements are seen after 7 days of use, stop treatment with the the cream and speak to your doctor.

What are the possible side effects of Fucidin H Cream?

Side effects are rare, and most people don’t get any. Possible side effects may vary from one person to the next, as with any medication. You should always read the manufacturer’s Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) before using or any other medication.

This will give you important instructions on how and when to use the medication, as well as any possible side effects of the drug.
