What is Finacea Gel for?

Finacea Gel (Azelaic Acid) is a powerful prescription medicine for the treatment of symptoms of rosacea. This is a common and long-term skin condition that causes redness, flushing and can even cause small, red, pus-filled bumps.

Rosacea can be both embarrassing and distressing for those that suffer, but you can buy Finacea Gel without prescription from Medical Specialists® following a quick and easy online consultation. Most people see the benefits of Finacea Gel after just a month of use.

Occasionally, Finacea has also been used to treat milder cases of acne on the facial area, usually when stronger topical medicines have not worked to the desired effect.

How does Finacea Gel work?

Finacea 15% Gel with Azelaic Acid works to treat both mild acne and rosacea that are papulopustular in form. This means there are both hardened raised lumps (known as papules) and puss-filled lumps (known as pustules).

Azelaic Acid has an effective dual antimicrobial/anti-inflammatory action, stopping the growth of bacteria, as well as limiting the production of a protein called keratin. Keratin can block pores, resulting in the pimples associated with the condition.

How to use Finacea Gel

When you buy Finacea Gel online, it should be applied twice daily to those affected skin areas. Space your doses, using the product in the morning and the evening.

Visible improvement in your symptoms may take up to 4 weeks, but if there is no improvement within 2 months, the Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) states you should stop treatment and consult with your own doctor.

Before application of Finacea Gel, wash your hands and clean the affected skin area carefully. Use a soap-free cleansing lotion and dab the skin dry with a soft towel to avoid irritation. After you have applied the gel, make sure to re-wash your hands.

Don’t cover the skin area immediately following application as this may cause a harmful excess of the active agent being absorbed into the body.

If you experience any skin reactions to the treatment, such as burning, dryness or irritation, stop using the product and speak to your own doctor.

Do you need to use moisturiser with Finacea Gel?

It is not necessary to use moisturiser when you buy Finacea online, however those prone to dry skin may choose to moisturise. It is important to not use heavily perfumed moisturisers, and look for moisturisers designed specifically for sensitive skin types. The moisturiser can be applied either before or after Finacea — it’s entirely up to you.

What are the possible side effects of Finacea Gel?

Side effects are rare, and most people don’t get any. Possible side effects may vary from one person to the next, as with any medication. You should always read the manufacturer’s Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) using this or any other medication.

This will give you important instructions on how and when to use the medication, as well as any possible side effects of the drug.
