What is Fexofenadine for?
Fexofenadine tablets are a “non-drowsy” antihistamine that works to stop your body from having an allergic reaction to pollen often associated with hay fever. Other antihistamines may cause you to feel drowsy and sleepy after taking them, however the benefit of Fexofenadine is that because it is non-drowsy, you should feel relatively OK after taking a dose, which will allow you to get on with your daily activities as normal.
This effective oral treatment can tackle common allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, a runny nose, red and itchy eyes, sneezing, and can also be used to treat hives.
The medication may be particularly ideal for those who have previously tried over the counter hay fever treatments such as Loratadine or Cetirizine and have not experienced much improvement with their symptoms.
What are the Benefits of Fexofenadine?
Fexofenadine is a very popular hay fever medication due to the fact it is non-drowsy, meaning you are much less likely to feel tired after taking a dose. Therefore, this makes Fexofenadine a more practical solution compared to other similar medications.

How does Fexofenadine work?
Fexofenadine tablets are non-drowsy antihistamine tablets that work by preventing the release of a natural chemical substance (known as histamine) that can trigger allergy symptoms.
The medication is effective at reducing the allergic reaction response and relieving hay fever symptoms.
How to take Fexofenadine
When you buy Fexofenadine online for hay fever and allergies, the manufacturer’s recommended dose is to take one tablet once a day. The tablet should be swallowed whole with a drink of water, and preferably be taken prior to eating in order to maximise its effects.
Fexofenadine should then begin to take effect in only 1 hour, and lasts for a maximum of around 24 hours.
What are the possible side effects of Fexofenadine?
Side effects are rare, and most people don’t get any. Possible side effects may vary from one person to the next with any medication. You should always read the manufacturer’s Information Leaflet before taking this or any other medication.
This will give you important instructions on how and when to take the medication, as well as any possible side effects of the drug.
